Billing

Competition hosting services are billied on a monthly or annual basis and are non-refundable.

Payment is processed separately for each space, each space has its own plan, billing settings and billing cycle. If you use multiple spaces, you need to set up billing separately for each of them.

All calculations are made relative to the day of subscription. That is, when calculating the monthly use of resources or the date of the next payment, the countdown starts from the day of subscription. For example, if you signed up on October 12, all calculations will be made on the 12th day of each month (or the last day of the month, if there are not enough days in it).

Plan

The plan determines resource usage quota and what features will be available in the space, for example: the maximum number of competitions, the ability to configure upsolve mode or additional fields for the user's profile.

The price of the plan is set as the amount for one seat in the space. That is, the total amount to be paid is the product of the price specified in the plan and the number of seats.

Plans can have a monthly price (payable monthly) and an annual price (payable annually).

Seats

When setting up payment for the space, the owner must select the number of seats. The number of seats determines how many users (students or contestants) will be able to sign into the space each month.

For example, if you signed up on October 15 and paid for 10 seats in the space, this means that from October 15 to November 15, up to 10 users will be able to sign into the space. Also, from November 15 to December 15, up to 10 users (not necessarily the same users) will be able to enter the space. The number of sign ins for each user is not limited.

If all seats are occupied, users will receive an error when sining into the space. In this case, the owner of the space can increase the number of seats in the settings.

If you remove a member who has taken one of the seats (logged in), his seat will be released immediately, which means you can reclaim seats by removing members from your space.

Administrators' use of the console does not take up seats, but if an administrator account is also added to the space as a member, that administrator's sign into the space site will take up one of the seats.

Making changes

You can make changes to the billing settings at any time, some changes will be applied instantly and others in the end of the current billing month.

Change of the plan

You can change your plan at any time. But please note that plan increases will occur instantly, and decreases from the day of the next payment. When you upgrade your tariff plan, you will need to pay the difference between the old and new plan.

For example, you signed up on October 12 and paid for 10 seats in the space at 3 EUR per seat. On November 1, you decided to change the tariff plan to one that costs 5 EUR per seat, for this you need to pay 20 EUR (50 EUR for the new plan, minus 30 EUR that you already paid for the current plan), after payment, the plan will instantly change to a new one. On November 12, you will be charged 50 EUR for the new plan configuration.

In another example, if on November 1 you decided to switch from a plan for 3 EUR per seat to one that costs 2 EUR per seat, the system will apply the changes starting with the next payment. That is, until November 12, you will be able to continue using the current plan, and after that it will change to a new one, and the monthly payment will change to 20 EUR.

Changing the number of seats

You can change the number of seats in the space at any time. But please note that the increase in the number of seats occurs instantly at full price, the decrease occurs at the end of the current billing month.

For example, you signed up on October 12 and paid for 10 seats in the space at 3 EUR per seat. On November 1, you decided to add 5 more seats, for this you need to pay 15 EUR (i.e. 5 × 3 EUR), after payment, the number of seats will instantly increase to 15, and on November 12, the monthly payment will change to 45 EUR (i.e. 15 × 3 EUR).

In another example, if on November 1, instead of increasing, you decided to reduce the number of seats to 5, the system will apply the changes starting with the next payment. That is, until November 12, you will be able to continue using 10 seats, and after that the number of seats will decrease to 5, and the monthly payment will change to 15 EUR.

Combined changes

In general, when making changes to a plan or the number of seats, we recommend changing one parameter at a time, for example only the number of seats or only the plan. But the system allows you to make several changes at the same time (for example, changing the plan and number of seats). Depending on the changes, the system will apply them immediately or at the end of the month.

Cancel plan

You can cancel your plan at any time. You will be able to continue using your space until the end of the billing period, after which your space will be deactivated.
